Here they are! My first ever postcards!

There is something about holding a photograph that a digital simply cannot replace. That feeling is exactly why I created these postcards.

The inspiration

The design comes from my time traveling in Japan. Rounded corners and white borders give the cards a nostalgic feel, something like an old postcard or polaroid photo. I put care into every detail, front and back.

Printed with care

No trees were harmed in the making. I worked with a wonderful print shop in the Netherlands that prints on 100% recycled paper. Only 25 cards were printed.

"There are so many beautiful details in the photo, they become visible with certain light. It is a pleasure to look at it, there is so much to see. And the aluminium is perfect; I strongly recommend it as support, as it gives that extra shine. It looks gorgeous."

Why I make prints

I have always been drawn to making things with my hands. However, photography sits somewhere in between. You are out in the field, actively observing and responding to the world around you. But the result lives often only in a screen. And I do think lot of the value gets lost this way.

Mindful looking

We often forget that photography is a craft. Photographers can spend hours, sometimes days, working toward a single image. That kind of work deserves more than three seconds of attention before the next scroll.

A print invites you to stop. To become still. To actually look.

What details reveal themselves when you slow down? What contrasts, shapes, or quiet moments did the photographer notice? What does the image stir in you?

When you let yourself feel what a photograph does to you, you stop being a viewer and become part of the experience. You become part of the work.
